How to send it

Email contact@example.invalid with the subject "Claim to check". Include: - The link to the post, article or video - The claim in a sentence, if the link doesn't make it clear - Optional: where you saw it, and why you think it may be wrong

We don't need any personal details: no name, phone number or address. Please don't include personal information about yourself or anyone else. Screenshots are welcome, but please blur names and faces of private individuals first.

How the desk reviews claims

1. Logging: we note the claim and the link. Your email address is used only to reply, if you want a reply.
2. Checking: we find the original source and look for official records, primary documents and reputable reporting. We never rely on a single unverified source.
3. Verdict: each claim is rated True, False, Misleading or Unproven, with every source linked.
4. Approval: an editor reviews each verdict before it goes live.
5. Publishing: approved checks appear on the Fact-check page and in the site assistant.

We can't check every claim, and we can't promise a timeline. We prioritise claims that are spreading widely or could put people at risk. If you see a mistake in our work, email us with the subject "Correction" and we will review it.

Stand With Abraham is independent and is not a government body. We criticise ideologies and false claims, never peoples or faiths.
